Pancake Breakfast
Each October, Bexar-Bulverde Fire Department hosts its Annual Open House and Pancake Breakfast. This free community event brings neighbors and firefighters together while highlighting the importance of fire safety during Fire Prevention Month.
Guests enjoy a complimentary breakfast and family-friendly activities such as face painting, balloon artists, and bouncy houses. Fire department vehicles are on display for children to explore, and an AirCare helicopter lands at the station and remains on-site for viewing. Children can also test their skills at the junior firefighter challenge course.

Santa RunS
Each December, Santa borrows a fire truck from Bexar-Bulverde Fire Department while his sleigh is being prepared for the big night! Over the course of several evenings and weekends, he travels through neighborhoods across the BBFD response area, tossing candy along the way.
To make sure you don’t miss your chance to see Santa:
- Follow us on Facebook. Daily route details and hours will be posted throughout the Santa Run.
- Track Santa in real time. A link to the BBFD Santa Tracker will be included in each day’s Facebook post.
- Find a nearby street. While Santa can’t visit every street, you can use the posted neighborhood maps to locate the closest point on his route.
- Listen for the sirens. If you hear a siren, Santa is on his way!
If weather impacts the schedule, updates will be posted on Facebook.
National Night Out
National Night Out is an annual nationwide campaign that promotes community partnerships and strengthens neighborhood connections to create safer, more engaged communities. The event fosters positive interactions between residents, law enforcement, and emergency responders.
